Ok, my oddysey into web design continues. Ive managed to get everything compliant and also got the text the size i want it. Had some trouble getting the header and footer to centralise in ie but all good now. Next i'll be working on the side bar over on the right... gonna use it for site links and various bits and bobs; links, w3c tags, twitter feed maybe or a flickr feed or something. Once this page is done i'll knock up some other pages. Also, the layout is all done with CSS so once i get this all finalised i can put some alternate designs in and hopefully make them selectable.

Managed to get the footer aligned by wrapping it in another div and floating it in the centre. Also, check out the date field!

HTML, XHTML, CSS, FLASH, JAVASCRIPT, its all in here! Ive been validating over at W3schools so i can have those funky validation icons. Still playing around with the layout before i actually commit to creating a design. Ive got it looking consistent in both Firefox and IE, i just cant get the footer to align in ie, which is weird because it works on a mates computer.

Ok looks like the tags are working now. Im getting my head around things.... i may have moved some files that I shouldnt have! ;p Now I've just got to pin down a layout of some kind!
